I am an Assistant Professor in the Supply Chain and Operations Department at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota.
My research focus is empirical retail operations, with topics of interest including AI/technology, sustainability, and online marketplaces. Across my research, I consider the retailer’s perspective of needing to understand consumer behavior to then make the best operational decisions. I partner with companies to provide data-driven insights on the effectiveness of cutting-edge innovations, through relevant techniques such as field experiments, structural estimation, and econometric models. My research has been published in top journals such as Management Science.
I received my PhD in Operations at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Richmond, with a BS in Mathematical Economics.
Prior to academia, I worked in management consulting in Richmond, VA, leading the data analytics department.
